UNION APP – TERMS & CONDITIONS

PLEASE READ THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THE UNION EV APP. BY ACCESSING OR USING THE APP OR ANY RELATED CHARGING SERVICES, YOU AGREE TO BE LEGALLY BOUND BY THESE TERMS. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE, PLEASE DO NOT USE THE APP OR SERVICES.

1. DEFINITIONS & INTERPRETATION

In these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"):

  • "App" means the mobile application branded as Union, operated by Union Energy Corporation Pte. Ltd., including all features, updates, content and services made available through it.
  • "Charging Station" means any electric vehicle charging station operated by or on behalf of Union, including related equipment and charging points.
  • "Charging Session" means a period during which electricity is supplied from a Charging Station to an electric vehicle, commencing when electricity starts flowing and ending when charging stops for any reason.
  • "Services" means the EV charging services, App functionalities, customer support and related services provided by Union.
  • "User", "you", "your" refers to any person who accesses or uses the App or Services.

"Union", "we", "us", "our" refers to Union Energy Corporation Pte. Ltd (UEN: 199805041R), together with its affiliated or related companies.

The Services are provided by:

3. ACCEPTANCE & AMENDMENTS

3.1 These Terms govern your access to and use of the App and Services.

3.2 Union reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be published within the App and shall take effect upon posting.

3.3 Your continued use of the App or Services after any amendment constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

4. USER ACCOUNTS

4.1 To use the Services, you must register for an account through the App.

4.2 You must be at least 18 years old to register for and use the App and Services. This requirement aligns with Singapore’s legal driving age and applicable laws and regulations.

4.2A Union reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account found to be used by a person below the age of 18, whether directly or indirectly, without liability to the user.

4.3 Account registration may require the provision of:

  • Email address
  • Mobile phone number
  • Vehicle plate number(s) (mandatory for fleet or operational users)
  • Any other information reasonably required for service operation

4.4 You are responsible for ensuring that all information provided is accurate, complete and kept up to date.

4.5 One user account may be associated with multiple vehicles.

4.6 You must not create or maintain more than one account unless expressly permitted by Union.

5. ACCOUNT SECURITY

5.1 You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

5.2 Any activity conducted through your account shall be deemed to be authorised by you.

5.3 You must notify Union immediately if you suspect unauthorised access or use of your account.

5.4 Union shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from unauthorised account use prior to notification.

6. APP FUNCTIONALITIES

6.1 The App allows users to:

  • Locate Charging Stations
  • View charger availability and pricing
  • Start and stop Charging Sessions
  • View charging history and usage records

6.2 Features such as reservations, bookings or idle fees are not currently available and may be introduced in the future at Union’s discretion.

7. CHARGING SERVICES

7.1 Charging Sessions are provided subject to availability, technical constraints and host site rules.

7.2 Charging may be interrupted, limited or adjusted due to:

  • Grid or load management requirements
  • Host or site operational rules
  • Safety, maintenance or technical reasons

7.3 Power ratings displayed are indicative only and not guaranteed for the duration of a Charging Session.

8. PRICING & FEES

8.1 All pricing is displayed within the App and may vary by location, charger type and time.

8.2 Union reserves the right to revise pricing, tariffs or charging structures at any time.

8.3 Charges are calculated based on Union’s system records, which shall be final and conclusive.

9. PAYMENTS & UNION CREDITS

9.1 Payment Methods

Users may pay for Charging Sessions and related Services using one or more of the following payment methods as made available in the App from time to time (“Funding Sources”):

  • Credit cards
  • Debit cards
  • PayNow
  • Such other payment methods as Union may support from time to time

9.2 Union Credits

9.2.1 Users may choose to prepay for the Services by purchasing Union Credits through the App using an available Funding Source.

9.2.2 Union Credits are prepaid service credits issued by Union solely for the purpose of accessing and using Union’s EV charging services through the APP.

9.2.3 Union Credits are not intended to function as e-money,, stored value, cash, cash equivalents, deposit balances, or any general payments instrument.

9.2.4 Union Credits may only be used with Union for Union EV Charging services and may not be used to make payment to any 3rd party merchant, person or payment account.

9.2.5 The Union Credits balance recorded in the App is capped at SGD 999 or such lower amount as Union may prescribe from time to time.

9.3 Use of Union Credits

9.3.1 Union Credits may only be used to pay for Charging Sessions and Services provided through the App.

9.3.2 Union Credits:

  • are not redeemable for cash,
  • are not transferable to any other user or third party, and
  • may not be exchanged, assigned, sold, withdrawn or otherwise converted into cash or any other monetary value: and
  • may not be refunded except where required by applicable law, due to systems error or service interruption attributable to Union,  or where expressly determined by Union.

9.4 Credit Deduction & Minimum Balance

9.4.1 When Union Credits are selected as the payment method, users authorise Union to automatically deduct the applicable charges from their available Union Credit balance.

9.4.2 Union reserves the right to prescribe a minimum Union Credit balance required to initiate or continue a Charging Session.

9.4.3 If a user’s Union Credit balance falls below the required minimum, Union may prevent the Charging Session from starting or may terminate an ongoing Charging Session.

9.5 Verification & Authorisation of Funding Sources

9.5.1 Union may verify and authorise a Funding Source when it is first registered and/or when Union Credits are purchased.

9.5.2 For credit or debit cards, Union may place a temporary authorisation hold to verify the payment method. This is not an actual charge and may appear as a pending transaction depending on the card issuer’s processes.

9.6 Fees & Charges

9.6.1 Union may impose additional charges or conditions depending on the selected Funding Source.

9.6.2 Users shall be responsible for any fees, charges or disputes arising between them and their bank, card issuer or payment service provider. Union shall not be responsible for any such disputes.

9.7 Refunds

9.7.1 Charging fees and Union Credits are generally non‑refundable, except in cases of system error, service interruption attributable to Union, or where otherwise required by applicable law.

9.7.2 Any refund or goodwill adjustment shall be at Union’s sole discretion and, where applicable, may be credited back through the original Funding Source or such other manner determined by Union.

9.8 Expiry of Union Credits

9.8.1. Union Credits purchased or credited to user’s account shall be valid for twelve (12) months from the date of the last top‑up/purchase or the date of the user’s last Charging Session, whichever is later.

9.8.2 Any Union Credits that remain unused after the applicable validity period, may at Union’s discretion, expired and forfeited.

9.8.3 Union shall not be obligated to provide prior notice of expiry. Expired Union Credits shall not be refunded, reinstated, or exchanged for cash, except where required by applicable law or expressively determined by Union.

9.9 Forfeiture upon Account Termination

9.9.1 If a user’s account or access to the Services is suspended or terminated by Union pursuant to Section 13 (Suspension & Termination), any remaining Union Credit balance may be forfeited, subject to applicable law and Union’s internal review.

9.9.2 If a user voluntarily requests account termination via the App or customer support channels, the user should utilize all remaining Union Credits before account closure. Upon the closure of the account, any remaining Union Credits may be forfeited, and no refund or cash equivalent shall be provided, except where required by applicable law or expressively determined by Union.

9.10 Right of Set-Off

9.10.1 Union reserves the right, at its absolute discretion and without prior notice, to deduct, apply, or set off any amounts owed by the user to Union against the user’s available Union Credit balance.

9.10.2 Such owed amounts may include outstanding charging fees, applicable idle fees, administrative penalties, or costs incurred by Union due to user misuse of or physical damage to any Charging Station or host site property.

9.10.3 If the user’s Union Credit balance is insufficient to cover the amounts owed; Union reserves the right to charge the remaining balance to any of your registered Funding Sources or pursue other recovery methods available to Union.

10. HOST SITES & PARKING RULES

10.1 Charging Stations may be located on third-party premises.

10.2 You must comply with all site-specific rules, parking conditions and access restrictions.

10.3 Union is not responsible for parking fees, fines, penalties or enforcement actions imposed by site owners or authorities.

11. THIRD-PARTY SYSTEMS & VENDORS

11.1 Certain App systems, software or backend services may be provided or operated by third-party vendors.

11.2 Union remains the service provider to users. Third-party vendors do not assume any direct liability to users for the Services.

11.3 Union is not responsible for outages, delays or failures caused by third-party systems beyond its reasonable control.

12. DATA PROTECTION

12.1 Union collects, uses and discloses personal data in accordance with its Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

12.2 By using the App, you consent to such collection, use and disclosure.

13. SUSPENSION & TERMINATION

13.1 Union may suspend or terminate your account or access to the Services at any time, without prior notice, where:

  • There is suspected misuse, fraud or breach of these Terms
  • Required for security, safety or operational reasons

13.2 You may request account termination via the App or customer support channels.

14. DISCLAIMERS

14.1 The App and Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

14.2 Union makes no warranty that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for any particular purpose.

15. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

15.1 To the maximum extent permitted by law, Union shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses arising from your use of the App or Services.

15.2 Union’s total aggregate liability shall not exceed S$50.

16. INDEMNITY

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Union from any claims, losses or damages arising from your breach of these Terms or misuse of the Services.

17. FORCE MAJEURE

Union shall not be liable for any failure or delay caused by events beyond its reasonable control.

18. GOVERNING LAW & JURISDICTION

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts.
